DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is one of the nation�s largest hospitals specializing in rehabilitation medicine and research. RIM is known for its clinical expertise in spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputee, orthopedics and catastrophic injury care. The Institute houses the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery and the Southeastern Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS), one of only 16 federally designated model systems of care for brain injury care and research. RIM also operates 31 outpatient sites throughout southeast Michigan specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics.
Job Summary
- Reconciles records against discharge census and takes appropriate and timely action to retrieve all discharged patient records.
- Retrieves medical records from designated Patient Care areas, organizes, prepares and processes for document imaging.
- Meets departmental quality and productivity standards for preparing, and scanning of patient records.
- Other job duties as assigned based on skill level and need.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some experience with medical record preferred.
Skills Required:
- Organization and time management critical to success in meeting productivity standards.
- Attention to detain necessary for accurate prep and scanning patient medical records.
