Sports Medicine Physician
Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Boston Children's Hospital
The Medical Sports Medicine (MSM) Program in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking a sports medicine physician with a strong academic focus on research and education as well as experience treating pediatric and young adult athletes. Additional expertise in diagnostic and ultrasound-guided procedures is preferred. We are a multidisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons, dietitians, sports psychology clinicians, and sports podiatrists. The MSM program includes a clinical care team skilled in caring for athletes with medical and orthopedic conditions, including sports-related musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, running injuries, and complex injuries requiring skilled musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics and procedures. The program includes central outpatient clinic hubs in Boston and Waltham with four additional satellite clinics in the metro Boston area. The MSM program is affiliated with the Boston Ballet, and many of our physicians are team physicians for local high school and collegiate teams. Responsibilities include clinical practice, resident and fellow education, and clinical, translational, and/or basic science research. Salary and academic rank of instructor, assistant, or associate will be commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Board certification in sports medicine is required.
