Position Information:
The Orthopedic PT Clinical Specialist is responsible for leading or
assisting in the coordination of patient care with specialty training and
expertise in orthopedics and work injury management. This position will
support the WakeMed System through specialty training in rehabilitation of
the orthopedic, sports medicine, and work injury patient populations. It
requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster
collaboration among all stakeholders including team members, patients,
physicians and third party payers. This position requires flexibility to
accommodate and facilitate timely patient flow throughout the system as
appropriate for effective and efficient patient care. This position is
actively involved in continuous learning of evidence based practice and will
assist with mentoring and training. This individual understands the needs of
the organization, and its Mission and Values in patient care services, and
will participate in activities that promote practice operations and program
development. This position requires exceptional skills in patient care to
maximize patient recovery with quality objective outcomes, as well as the
ability to foster team development through shared caseloads and dynamic
communication to meet each patient's needs. Applicant must be committed to
personal skill development, practice growth, community outreach activities
and health promotion in the community.
Experience Requirements:
2 Years Clinical - Orthopaedics Required - And 1 Year Clinical - Related
Area Preferred
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy Required - And Master's Degree Physical
Therapy Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
