Medical Director, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Lenox Hill Hospital

Position Mission

The Department of Pediatrics of Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell seeks a mid-career or senior level Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology at Lenox Hill Hospital (LHH) as the Medical Director of the busy level III25 NICU.

As a leader, you will work to ensure quality and safety for the clinical service of this high acuity 25-bed unit. The Medical Director will join our group of neonatologists, NICU Hospitalists and  Advance Practice Neonatal care providers, and a large multidisciplinary team of NICU care professionals. You will work closely with leadership and your peers to develop a process for establishing clinical standards and adhering to evidence-based guidelines.

As an innovator, you will lead clinical quality improvement activities in the LHH NICU, monitor and supervise activities of attending physicians, and actively participate in Neonatal Service Line initiatives. Our unit offers a diverse range neonatal services, including high frequency ventilation, NAVA, inhaled nitric oxide, brain-cooling, advanced nutrition strategies.

Education and Experience

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completed Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship with Board Certification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical and leadership experience
  • Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
